How ignorant am I that I never knew exactly what went one when a cat got declawed??? I did elect to have Collin declawed. My theory was that at least one piece of furniture in my house would be saved from the vicious attack of a new kitten. I did not however know that they actually cut pieces of bone off of the paw. When I picked up my newly sheared kitten, my eyes got moist. How horrible she looked. To not only have all of her female parts (she was spayed too!) cut out, but then to have her paws cut. As I watched her hobble on her huge boxing gloves, I couldn't but think of what we humans put our animals through.

Wow, they put li'l gloves on her?! I've had both my cats declawed and neither got gloves... looks a lot more pathetic WITH the gloves. yes... we are evil humans. :( But I like my cats and I like my furniture... we all gotta co-exist somehow.
