Aidan Turns 4!!!

Yes, my youngest turned 4 on the 21st of this month. I can't believe how fast they grow up! We had his party at the barn and let all the kids ride Zena. They had alot of fun. He has such a great personality, probably because he has such great brothers to help him grow up!!!

Cheesing it up for the camera. He loves blowing out the candles!

Brennon trying his best to look 'cool' on Zena

Keagan trying to ride like a pro. He'll get there! haha

27 Dresses

KT and I went to see 27 Dresses. I laughed so much during the film. Of course the two male stars in the film were hot, so of course that made the film so much better!!! Here's a pic of my favorite brides maid dress that she wore during the film.

Snow In Seattle

Uh huh, can you see it? Let me break out the sleds!

In Perfect Harmony

Ican is the man of the house (feline speaking). He's quick to reprimand, puts dogs in their place (and kids, too). Knows when I'm sad, and always seeks out a warm lap. He looked so peaceful today sitting on that saddle that's probably equivalent to him in kitty years, almost like he was trying to be a peace of history himself.

Curiosity..... well you know

One would think he would have learned the first time!!!

Retracted Eardrum

The diagnosis is in on why for the past month I've only been partially able to hear from my left ear. Most of the time it disguises the fact that I'm too busy to pay attention! :) So, I'm on medicine, and if it doesn't 'unretract' in an appropriate amount of time (6-8 weeks), then there will be other options available to me. Two mentioned were tubes and steroids?!!! Okay.....

Rookie Rowdies

Tuesday Chris and I were officially welcomed into the drillteam for the 'Rowdies'. No, it's not a bar brawl team (although that would rank high on my list!) It's an equestrian drill team. Last November, I suggested to hubby that we should ride with the drill team on Sunday nights so we could keep our horses in shape over the winter. I don't know if the horses are as tired as we are now on Sunday nights, but we do have some fun. It's certainly not as easy as I thought it would be, some of these gals have been on a drill team for 20 years! But, we make an effort. They even said that we would be going to do some shows this year. The website of the team we're on is at

http://www.rowdies.org/

They threatened that our pictures would be added soon. We'll let you guys know more as we keep progressing!

Mud Fever

Zena was diagnosed with Mud Fever today. Started out two months ago with a little bitty cut wound on her leg. Now she's got scabby items running up and down her leg. Really gross. The medicine I have to put on it is even grosser, a thick purplish red concotion that grosses me out just touching it.

I have to admit, I hope it's gone soon, as the looks I get from some of the other riders on our drill team make me feel as if I have some sort of disease. They also love reminding me as if I don't see the hideous reddish, hair loss patch of skin creeping down her leg. "Excuse me, are you aware your horse has..... um... something on her leg?" Why no, it must have just gotten there, moron.

Damn the cold!!!

I have a cold AGAIN! Think I got it from Chris. First thing to go was the hearing in the left ear, and now I can't breathe out of my nose. I'm huddled in my chair in a blankie. I hate being sick.

Happy New Year!!!!

We invited a few people over, played Mexican Train in Dominos, and stayed up to watch the ball drop. Had my first taste of room temperature wine (still debating if I liked it or not) and had a regular feast in food. Many wishes for you and yours!!!
