Happy 15th Anniversary

Tonight Chris and I had one of the best dinners ever! We ate at Pasta Freska, a quaint little restaurant on Westlake Ave in Seattle. The menu.........well, it was something we had to guess for ourselves! The Chef Mike was wonderful, I know we had eggplant parmesan as a starter. Then, next came a salad, while we both drank fresh Strawberry Lemonade with actual chunks of Strawberries floating around. Next came a manicotti with chicken dish for Chris while I had a duck or turkey meatball in mushroom sauce with broccoli inside! After that came the garlic bread and spaghetti, and then tuna and rice for Chris and halibut and rice for me. Then..........yes, more! Giant Alaska Tiger prawns that had been grilled and coated in spices along with a handmade chai iced coffee (yes I had coffee!) with vanilla in it. Another surprise that Mike threw together. Dessert was a sliver of Carrot Cake, a sliver of heavily alcoholed Tiramisu, and two small scoops of sherbert. My goodness, was too much to eat! Fantastic and wonderful! Love ya babe!

Busy, Busy Life

We have been busy. I'm not talking once a week busy, I'm talking seven days a week each hour is filled, lucky to get 6 hours of sleep each night busy. And, it's good. I feel good, of course, some days I'm really tired, but I look forward to each day's activities of either soccer, swimming, zumba, horses, skating, or whatever else we decide to do. Need to take some pictures soon to post.

Brakes Away

My husband is changing the brakes on my car. I asked him "You know I drive this car right?" He said "So?". I said, "Do you even know how to change brakes?" He said "We'll find out."

Aidan and Jac

Evidently, our 6 year old has a fascination for our 10 year old Russell. Unfortunately, the desire is not shared and whenever Aidan feels like Jac is in need of atttention, she kindly pulls her lips back from her snaggly and short teeth and snarls like a wilderbeast. What about this makes kids want to do it more??
Well, last weekend was a turning point. Evidently Aidan thought that Jac should try on the muzzle that we have for our 4 year old Shephard to help prevent him from barking. Jac immediately disliked the idea and popped Aidan in the nose with her teeth. And yes, I said popped because I think she could have done at lot worse. He had a couple of teeth marks but the worst of it was a bloody nose. As a parent I was thinking this was a good thing and maybe poor Jac would have some peace.
Nope, the next day Aidan tried to make amends by popping her with a punch balloon in the head. Jac thought that was nice and burst said balloon with her teeth. Joy.

Really Two Months???/

I know, what can I possibly have been doing instead of updating my blog religiously??? You're right, I've been slacking, I joined 5 soccer teams that play 3 times a week, and have been trying my hand at Zumba, or I should say trying my leg, because at the end of January, I tore a calf muscle. What's that feel like? Well, let's see when you go to step and all the muscle tissue, fat, and just weight of your bone moves down that leg it hurts....painfully. However, after just a week and a half I was right back at Zumba, and light soccer. Oh, and of course horseback riding. However, a week and a half ago, while playing a soccer game on a Sunday, I tore the other calf muscle, the right one this time. *sigh* So, I was back to watching my hubby play games, no zumba, and totally being bored out of my mind. At least with this one, I could walk, but it sure is plainful to run. I did try to play on it this past Tuesday, and almost made it the whole 40 minutes without feeling like I was a beginner, but in the last 5 minutes I felt the pain, again. Ugh so frustrating.
